Will Mixed Martial Arts training make my child violent?
The
truth is, most children who train in kids martial arts classes are less violent than those who
don't. Often times its kids who lack discipline, training, and self esteem that
can be bullies and escalate violence. But kids who train in martial arts tend
to become more responsible, more mature and far less likely to engage in any
sort of violence.
The process of going through a program of intense exercise, stretching, hand-eye coordination and paying attention to an adult instructor often makes kids more focused, calm and more responsible.
Will Mixed Martial Arts training help my child not be bullied?

Martial Arts training will help to develop a child's self confidence, which is often the anti-bully remedy. Bullies often target others who they feel they can victimize, they don't usually want to physically fight, but more mentally intimidate. Mixed Martial Arts teaches kids how to protect their space, how to be firm and how not to be a victim.
Even Oprah Winfrey has realized the significance of the bullying problem in our schools and has teamed up with Rener Gracie to discuss how Martial Arts can help to combat bullying (See Article).
