Sean Gormley has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for over 10 years under Mikyo Riggs. Sean is one of MarinMMA’s most technical BJJ practitioners and is the first person to earn a brown belt under Professor Mikyo.
He has competed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; winning and medaling in several tournaments such as the U.S. Open Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Gracie BJJ Open, American Cup BJJ, and United Gracie.
Sean’s attention to details of the technique are seen not only by his winning record in competition, but also clearly stand out in his teaching.
Outside of Marin MMA, Sean is in school to become a nurse.
